WAPPY was set up in April 2008 as literary initiative with the prime aim of developing the creative writing skills of up to fifteen young people (ages 11 – 14 years) from multi - ethnic backgrounds, living in Ealing and neighbouring West London boroughs, and train them to become skilled performers of their creative work which they will subsequently have published.
Positive Outcomes
WAPPY takes place at the London Life Line Academy in Hanwell as a Summer Project from July ending to mid August 2009 (1 – 4 pm, one day a week). A final Showcase follows the last session where the WAPPY participants will perform a collective story, and their individual poems created during the previous workshops. There are plans for WAPPY to run a weekly workshop from September 2009 to April 2010.
