WAPPY was set up in April 2008 as literary initiative with the prime aim of developing the creative writing skills of up to fifteen young people (ages 11 – 14 years) from multi - ethnic backgrounds, living in Ealing and neighbouring West London boroughs, and train them to become skilled performers of their creative work which they will subsequently have published.
Positive Outcomes
WAPPY takes place at the London Life Line Academy in Hanwell as a Summer Project from July ending to mid August 2009 (1 – 4 pm, one day a week). A final Showcase follows the last session where the WAPPY participants will perform a collective story, and their individual poems created during the previous workshops. There are plans for WAPPY to run a weekly workshop from September 2009 to April 2010. For further details please contact Akuba (Founder of WAPPY) on quansah@hotmail.com or Ifilia Francoise (Coordinator of Positive Awareness) on ifi_fra_@hotmail.com.

Radiant U was founded in May 2009 by Shevon Simon. Its aim is to assist others in creating healthy and fulfilling lives through one to one therapy. Radiant U's current focus is to bring The Journey to the local community. The Journey is a form of emotional counselling which gets to the root cause of any difficulties we are experiencing in our lives. This process was pioneered by Brandon Bays in the 1990's, after she healed from a basketball size tumour in her uterus within six weeks. The Journey process incorporates the tools that enabled her to heal the tumour. The difference between the Journey and traditional counselling is that each client is gently guided to go inside and tune into their emotions and where they are felt most strongly in the body. The focus is on the breath and emotions in order to uncover repressed memories. In every session the Journey Practitioner ensures their client reaches a place of personal resolution with the issue they are working on. No one leaves a session incomplete or that they have opened up wounds that they are left alone to deal with.
The Journey process has been a powerful tool for change in the lives of thousands of people around the world. Using this method people have overcome physical disease (including terminal illness), the effects of abuse and conflict in relationships including sexual difficulties. It has also helped people to release emotional issues for example low self-confidence, low self worth, fear, anger, bereavement and sadness. This method can also assist in the transformation of self- destructive behaviour patterns and addictions.
